From 26 to 30 November 2018, an AHK business trip on the topic of wind energy will take place in Morocco.
At the specialist conference entitled "Conférence Germano-Marocaine de l'énergie éolienne" on 27.11.2018 in Casablanca, you as a company headquartered in Germany will have the opportunity to present your products and services to the Moroccan specialist audience - consisting of 80-120 company representatives and public decision-makers.
On the following two days, the AHK organizes individual appointments for each company with relevant Moroccan decision-makers and potential business partners. The AHK will arrange and coordinate the desired dates with each arriving German company in advance of the trip.
From 2018, AHK will charge participating companies an own contribution of 250.00 - 1,250.00 EUR for participation in AHK business trips, depending on the size of the company. For further information, please refer to the registration documents.
The Moroccan government aims to free itself from energy imports and even become self-sufficient in the country's electricity supply. By 2030, 52% of the installed production capacity in the country is to be based on renewable energies. The target by 2020 is for at least 2,000 MW of the new capacity to fall on solar and wind energy respectively.
With the participation of the German KfW, larger wind farms have already been made possible in Morocco today. Two years ago, an 800 MW tender with Siemens participation became known, above all, for producing the "lowest wind power tariff in the world".
At present, Moroccan industrialists, farmers and large businesses are also finding it more attractive to supply themselves with small wind turbines, which means that the issue of small wind is increasingly on the political agenda.
Morocco is also an ideal logistics centre for German companies to further develop the West African energy market.Back
