ead Pre Smaller, more compact – better: The new hardware generation of SHM.Blade and IDD.Blade

Our field-proven and DNV GL certified rotor blade monitoring systems for the detection of ice and structural damage are now available with new and improved hardware: SHM.Blade and IDD.Blade can now be installed even more easily and quickly and work even more efficiently.

By simplifying the system using the new Data Acquisition and Processing Unit (DAPU), we were able to reduce product costs and halve the number of components required. In combination with the compact, fiber-optically connected sensors, SHM.Blade and IDD.Blade require very little installation space and can be installed by one person in less than a day. Troubleshooting, repairing and replacing the system are also much easier.

With the number of components, the number of interfaces has also been reduced, which additionally leads to higher reliability and lower service costs. Thanks to the robust hardware and the extended temperature range from -40°C to +60°C, SHM.Blade and IDD.Blade can be used under almost all weather and environmental conditions. Metal-free cables with fiber optic cables guarantee optimum lightning protection.
