Today, wind energy is one of the most important economic, export and growth factors in the energy sector in Germany. Success in international markets is based on a broadly supported, stable domestic market in which innovations can flourish. Current developments, such as job cuts, the relocation of activities abroad and the increasingly negative market outlook for the German market, are causing the industry great concern. In order to secure the future industry in Germany and especially in the "Weser-Ems wind hub", politicians urgently need to take appropriate steps. In particular, special invitations to tender must be issued quickly, expansion paths defined and priority given to the expansion of electricity grids. Without this, it will not be possible to implement the "energy turnaround of the maritime economy", which is demanded by everyone and which can only succeed on the basis of the use of renewable energies.
